Google Hangouts has proven to be a much more useful tool that other
video chat applications— thousands have used its features to implement
classroom-like atmospheres, concerts, political debates, etc. However,
there’s always been one major feature missing: the ability to interact
with your live audience.
Today, Google is launching Q&A for Hangouts On Air, which will give hosts the ability to receive questions from up to a million viewers at once, select and answer questions while on the air, and time-stamp the YouTube recording by marking questions as you answer them.
The new features will be rolling out to desktops within the next few days, with a “view-only” version coming to Android devices. Definitely a nice update and it’s great to see some new progress on the Google+ front.
