Xiaomi ready to release 7-inch Zimi tablet

The new Mi-3 smartphone that Xiaomi appears to be on track to release next week is not the only new device from the manufacturer in the works. New images and specification have surfaced for a 7-inch tablet the company appears to have ready for launch on September 5th. Sources indicate the device may be named the “Zimi” and will come with a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, a 1080p “retina” display, and will be 3G capable. Other details include Bluetooth 4.0 compatability, WiFi, GPS, FM receiver, and a 4000 mAh battery. According to the specifications the tablet will run the MIUI OS. The device appears to be priced in the 1299 Yuan ($212 USD) range, which seems to be a bit on the high side relative to where the market for 7-inch tablets is right now.
