We are slowly getting details about LG’s upcoming G Pad tablet. Over the weekend, we found out it will feature a Snapdragon 600 CPU, and today we get a better idea of the LCD display. It’s expected to come in at 8.3-inches with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 and will feature the latest GF Ditto technology, which is also known as GF2 touchscreen technology. It utilizes a double-sided indium tin oxide (ITO) film as opposed to glass. Translation – thinner. It will allow LG to make the G Pad ultra thin, but they could opt for a bigger battery instead.
Apple was the first to implement this technology with the iPad mini, and they will most likely utilize it on the upcoming iPad 5. This is obviously the first time LG is implementing GF2, but they are also the first Android manufacturer to do it.

LG has been out of the tablet game for a while now, but it looks like they aren’t just getting their feet wet with this re-entrance into the market. They are diving in and looking to make a splash. You have to hand it to LG. They are starting to offer some really exciting innovations and Samsung needs to watch their back.
