Just yesterday we reported on the outrageously priced shipping costs on the new Nexus 7 sleeve from the Play Store— customers were paying up to $22 just to have it sent to them. Way too much, especially when considering the price of the sleeve itself is $29.99.
It looks like Google’s taken a second look at what they’ve done and decided to revise the shipping costs and options for customers. Those who already purchased the sleeve yesterday (when shipping costs were sky-high) will essentially be refunded the full shipping cost.
For those who have not yet purchased their Nexus 7 sleeve, Google has dropped shipping prices and also added a third option. The three options now include:
1. Saver- 5-10 days for $3.99
2. Ground- 3-5 days for $7.99
3. Two-Day for $11.99
2. Ground- 3-5 days for $7.99
3. Two-Day for $11.99
These prices are certainly a lot more reasonable and it’s good to know that Google righted their wrongs in this situation.
